The Essence of Sustainability
It's difficult to imagine that most if not all things derive from good soil.
The world can't go on sustainably without the life-giving properties of good and healthy soil.
This basic realisation is what underpins Soilogy.
The Soilogy Story
Humans have been more accustomed to living on land than on water. We feel more assured, safe and to an extent, simply more “grounded”. The land or soil upon which mankind has been thriving serves as the basic foundation of life for humanity. This is largely made possible by the life-giving properties of good, healthy and microbes-rich soil.
Recognising this foundation is an ode to our survivability, or sustainability for that matter. In other words, getting the foundation right from the start is key to achieving our sustainability goals. This core realisation drives the very basis of Soilogy’s crusade for sustainability.
The clean air we breath, the food we eat, the biological waste and water that gets cleaned by nature, the health we have, the resilience of our rich biodiversity, etc. Our lives depend on the regenerative powers of natural ecosystem that is largely supported by soil. That’s the basics of sustainability.
With the world population projected to reach almost 10 billion by 2050, biodiversity preservation, water and waste management and natural food production have become the cornerstones of human survivability. Good management of these 3 core components simply means we just stand a chance to live another day. Period.
As such, there’s no easier way to mainstreaming sustainability than to beat the war drums on these very basic essentials that humans depend on. Regardless of various types of business across different industries, businesses exist with the sole purpose of ensuring the sustainability of natural systems. There are no two ways about it.
On this note, Soilogy seeks to ensure the achievement of sustainability by utilizing the P5 Global Standard for Sustainable Project Management, which is a comprehensive, methodical and measurable framework across the elements of Product, Process, People, Planet and Prosperity.
