The Menon's Garden

A big busy family and a large land space at the suburbs of KL. That could only mean putting the land space to good use for producing food on a budget. To make this happen, an in-depth site analysis and audit have to be conducted to develop a cohesive and comprehensive permaculture design that capitalises on the natural lay of the land with hopes of making effective and efficient use of existing resources.

The permaculture design has to take into account minimal maintenance work in view of the availability of only one worker to work the grounds. One of the client’s main objective is to have a balance of fruit trees and vegetables that would help significantly reduce grocery bills in 2 years time. Another concern is to create a green and living space that serves as an exploration and educational site for the client’s grandchildren. Apart from the functional aspects of the garden, aesthetic desires in landscaping has to be considered as well.
